Professor Dali Kaafar is the Founder and CEO of Apate.ai, a category-defining AI company that builds large-scale conversational bots to disrupt global scams and extract threat intelligence in real time. He is also Professor of Cyber Security and Executive director of the Macquarie University Cyber Security Hub and was the founder and group leader of the Information Security and Privacy research group at CSIRO’s Data61. He is also New South Wales Australia Cyber Ambassador and held the roles of principal scientist at National ICT Australia, INRIA France and Xerox PARC.

 

With over two decades of research and leadership in cybersecurity, privacy, and AI, Dali has authored 300+ publications, advised governments on scam prevention policy, and led multi-million-dollar projects funded by ONI, DoD, and the ARC. At Apate.ai, he is pioneering a new paradigm of real-time, AI-driven scam disruption deployed across banking, telco, and government sectors globally.
