Janet Salem is the co-founder of FootprintLab, which integrates sustainability data into financial data, and a frequent public speaker on sustainability innovation.

 

Janet spent 17 years at the United Nations working on sustainability, circular economy and sustainable lifestyles in Vienna, Paris and Bangkok. She is also a PhD candidate with the University of Sydney, where she is researching the integration of sustainability data into fintech, and has a Bachelor of Environmental Engineering and a Masters of Engineering Science from the University of New South Wales. She is the 2022 winner of the Ada Lovelace Medal which recognises excellence in engineering.
