
Lauren Adams is Australia’s Trade and Investment Commissioner to Indonesia. Her focus is on supporting Australia’s commercial engagement with Indonesia across technology, healthcare, agribusiness. Lauren also manages Austrade’s work in the technology sector across SEA, including the expanding Southeast Asia Landing Pad program.
Lauren has nearly 20 years professional experience across international trade, business advisory and diplomacy. Prior to joining Austrade, Lauren was Regional Director for Southeast East at Asia Group Advisors, based in Jakarta. She has extensive experience supporting investors and multinational companies in Indonesia and the broader Southeast Asia region, across various sectors including technology, payments and financial services, healthcare, energy, infrastructure and agriculture. She has lived and worked in Indonesia since 2017.
She is an alumni of the ACICIS program and studied Economics and Bahasa Indonesia at Gadjah Mada University, Yogyakarta. Lauren holds a Bachelor of Economics (International Business and Marketing) and Bachelor of Arts (Indonesian). She is fluent in Bahasa Indonesia.
